Former world champion Jacques Villeneuve's absence from Formula One this year has not appeared to have any negative impact on the sport's popularity in Montreal, with this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix now a sellout.
Although Villeneuve has helped boost the interest in the race over recent years, the competitiveness of this year's championship has ensured continued rapid ticket sales.
Organisers announced on Wednesday night that all the tickets for the event had been sold.
